Andrew Kromholz is a dedicated cellist and music educator whose teaching journey spans over 16 years and takes him from New York to Miami, Kenya, Singapore, and beyond. Currently an Orchestra teacher at Mamaroneck Schools, Andrew has built an impressive career fostering the love of music in students around the world.

Andrew began his teaching career at Mount Kenya Academy in Nyeri, Kenya, where he first discovered his passion for educating young musicians. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from the Crane School of Music and a Master’s in Music Education from the Frost School of Music at the University of Miami.

His international experience includes teaching strings at Dulwich College in Singapore and leading workshops across Beijing, Seoul, Singapore, and Shanghai. Andrew’s extensive performance background includes playing with the Mancini Institute Recording Orchestra in Miami, where he collaborated with celebrated artists such as George Benson, Gloria Estefan, Chick Corea, Bobby McFerrin, and Mark O’Connor. He was also a member of the Nevis Ensemble, a unique “street” orchestra that toured Scotland, performing 70 concerts in just two weeks.

Outside of his professional endeavors, Andrew enjoys photography, traveling, and challenging himself to rock climb on every continent. He continues to inspire young musicians by sharing his vast experiences and passion for music.
